I've seen that video a million times, and it never fails to bring a evil smile to my face. :-D

Re: Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot
I'm only a 20 minute drive from there and I was there Saturday for the daytime shoot. Words and video can't even begin to describe it, you have to FEEL it! The blasts from some of those weapons makes your heart stop! I had seen all the videos before, but never imagined the feeling from being there in person. Watching the explosions up on the hill and feeling the wave hit you is simply awesome! The money shot down range in seconds is mind boggling as well.
There were some good deals to be had there as well. RRA complete uppers were $504 new for basic flat tops, and under $800 for the nicer ones with free floated rails and flip up front sights. I should have bought a few of them to turn around and sell. |

Yowzer Wowzer......that is some insanity.
Were they lighting up gas can? Any ruff estimate on how many rounds they dispensed with all the fun? |
Re: Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot
awsome video
those types of videos always remind me how much ricocheting bullets can do and of course we are just seeing the tracers |
Re: Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot
On the other hand, almost like watching those old cartoons where the rich people burn rolls of cash...LOL

"pistol and subgun competitions cost $25 per person. we watched the subgun shooting competitions for half an hour. one guy said his subgun was working fine earlier in day but failed to function during the actual competition. a woman with a 9mm full auto uzi had a perfectly working gun but she failed to knock down one single metal target after emptying five 30 round magazines !!! she shot low and missed every target until her third magazine and only hit the legs of the targets a few times !!! and she flinched noticeably when she shot, too. almost unbelievable to see that kind of shooting with that kind of gun. but she looked good and dangerous with all of her tactical mag holders and gun. same with the malfunctioning gun guy. also interesting was that the prices for "ordinary" combat rifles like ar15 or ak47 were the same at knob creek as they were at hara - no more no less. this was my first time at knob creek. I was told that at one time ammo was available there by the truck load. there were a couple of smallish tent ammo vendors there. ammo was in short supply even there. there were a number of machine gun demos. there was also a machine gun rental and shoot area. cost started at $40 per magazine up to $120 for some of the 30 caliber belt weapons. viet nam era helicopter rides were $100 per person. no flame throwers at this event - at previous times they were available for $100 per person also. the line on the sat afternoon machine gun rental shoots were too long to wait. if you want to rent a machine gun - you shoot right there with the owner assisting - you really want to be there early in the morning - and Friday might be the best day to rent." |
